A good base for exploring the scenic Izu Peninsula, the town of Kawazu-cho, partly set in within a national park, remains well-known for its many hot spring resorts.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Kawazu Zakura (Kawazucho). Kick off your visit on the 21st (Thu): get answers to all your questions at Michi-no-Eki Amagigoe, take in the dramatic scenery at Joren Waterfall, steep yourself in history at Shuzen-ji Temple, then look for all kinds of wild species at Wasabi Fields of Ikadaba, and finally make a trip to Kawazu Zakura (Kawazucho).
