Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
Step off the beaten path and head to Yonehara Beach and Island Countryside Settlement. There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Kondoi Beach, walk around Banna Park, make a trip to Rhizophoraceae Plant Community of Fukidogawa River, and take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports.

Kuwait City, Kuwait to Ishigaki is an approximately 15.5-hour flight. You'll lose 6 hours traveling from Kuwait City to Ishigaki due to the time zone difference. Expect colder weather when traveling from Kuwait City in July: highs in Ishigaki hover around 38°C, while lows dip to 32°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 8th (Wed) early enough to catch the ferry to Iriomote-jima.

Start off your visit on the 9th (Thu): scramble along the landscape with a canyoning and rapelling tour, then enjoy the sand and surf at Ida no Hama Beach, and then steep yourself in history at Residence of Niimori. You can ride a ferry from Ishigaki to Iriomote-jima in an hour. In July, plan for daily highs up to 38°C, and evening lows to 32°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 10th (Fri) early enough to catch the ferry to Miyakojima.

A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.

Traveling by combination of flight and train from Miyakojima to Hiroshima takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly. In July, daily temperatures in Hiroshima can reach 36°C, while at night they dip to 28°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Wed) to allow time to take a train to Kyoto.
