Ishigaki

Start off your visit on the 15th (Fri): head outdoors with Aragusuku Beach, enjoy the sea views from Higashi Hennazaki Lighthouse, and then kick back and relax at Yonaha Maehama Beach. On your second day here, take in the views from Kurima Bridge, get outside with Toguchi no Hama, then take in the views from Irabu Ohashi, and finally get outside with Sunayama Beach.

Hatsukaichi

The city of Hatsukaichi developed from a small market town, frequented by passing samurais during the Edo period.
Start off your visit on the 17th (Sun): look for gifts at Itsukushima Gekijyo, then don't miss a visit to Miyajima, and then take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Misen. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of Daishoin Temple and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Itsukushima Shrine.

Getting from Miyakojima to Hatsukaichi by combination of flight and train takes about 5.5 hours. Other options: fly. Traveling from Miyakojima in March, you will find days in Hatsukaichi are slightly colder (16°C), and nights are colder (6°C). Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Mon) to allow enough time to take a train to Kyoto.

Kyoto

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Kinkaku-ji. Explore hidden gems such as Toji and Tofuku-ji Temple. Take a break from Kyoto with a short trip to Dotombori District in Dotombori, about 1h 10 min away.
