Start off your visit on the 21st (Tue): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Toshodai-ji Temple, pause for some photo ops at Todai-ji Temple, thentake your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mt. Wakakusa, thenindulge your thirst for a good beer at Harushika Brewery, and finally look for all kinds of wild species at Nara Park.

Traveling by car from Kyoto to Nara takes an hour. Alternatively, you can take a train. In January, daily temperatures in Nara can reach 9°C, while at night they dip to 3°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 21st (Tue) early enough to go by car to Osaka.

Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Wed): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine and then get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. Getting from Osaka to Seoul by flight takes about 6 hours. Other options: do a combination of train and ferry; or do a combination of car and ferry. Plan for little chillier temperatures traveling from Osaka in January, with highs in Seoul at 1°C and lows at -7°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Sat) to allow enough time to travel back home.
