Called the "White City" thanks to the color of its World Heritage-listed architectural landmarks, Tel Aviv serves as Israel's modern and cosmopolitan second city.
Take a break from the city and head to Frishman Beach and Bograshov Beach. Do some cultural sightseeing at The Beatitude Monastery and The Yitzhak Rabin Center. Get out of town with these interesting Tel Aviv side-trips: St. George Church (in Lod), Hof Palmahim National Park (in Rishon Lezion) and Al-umri Mosque (in Ramla). There's much more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Jerusalem Beach, admire the masterpieces at Tel Aviv Museum of Art, get engrossed in the history at Independence Hall Museum in the Shalom Mayer Tower, and hunt for treasures at Nachalat Binyamin Pedestrian Mall.

Known worldwide as the hometown of Jesus Christ, Nazareth draws flocks of pilgrims who come to see the place where Christ grew up, and follow his footsteps along the Jesus Trail.
Escape the urban bustle at Bet She'an National Park and Gan HaShlosha National Park. Few places in the world boast such a long history and such a rich multiethnic culture as Jerusalem, a city sacred to Jews, Muslims, and Christians.
Church of All Nations (Basilica of the Agony) and Christian Quarter will appeal to history buffs. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at En Gedi Nature Reserve and Ben Yehuda Street. There's much more to do: take an in-depth tour of Yad Vashem - The World Holocaust Remembrance Center, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at The Jerusalem Archaeological Park, admire the striking features of Church of Saint Anne, and make a trip to Hurva Synagogue.
