Experience small-town Bali in Ubud, an atmospheric town surrounded by small settlements, farms, and rice paddies.

Amed, Bali

A snaking coastline and quaint, sleepy fishing villages characterize Amed, a stretch of shorefront with seven villages in Bali's east.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Fathom Freedive Bali and Taman Tirtagangga. Take a break from the city and head to Lipah Beach and Guungan Hill. Step out of Amed to go to Candidasa and see Lotus Lagoon, which is approximately 1h 10 min away. You can drive from Amed to Kuta in 2.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. Traveling from Amed in July, expect a bit warmer with lows of 28°C in Kuta. On the 30th (Fri), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can fly back home.
