The cultural, economic, and political center of the country, Vienna has developed from its early Celtic and Roman roots into a medieval and Baroque city, with an old town that was designated a World Heritage Site in 2001.
Kick off your visit on the 11th (Wed): make a trip to Stephansplatz, don't miss a visit to Peterskirche, examine the collection at The Hofburg, then admire the landmark architecture of State Hall of the Austrian National Library, and finally explore the world behind art at Albertina. On the next day, examine the collection at Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien, take in nature's colorful creations at Schonbrunner Gardens, and then make a trip to Rathausplatz.

Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at St Mark's Campanile and Dorsoduro. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Cannaregio and Basilica di Santa Anastasia. Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
Palazzo Vecchio and Loggia dei Lanzi are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Step off the beaten path and head to Historic Centre of San Gimignano and Le mura di Lucca.
