Escalante

Escalante is a city in Garfield County, Utah, United States located along Utah Scenic Byway 12 (SR-12) in the south central part of the state. On the 3rd (Sat), see High Adventure and then delve into the distant past at Anasazi State Park Museum. On the 4th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: immerse yourself in nature at Kodachrome Basin State Park, stroll through Mossy Cave Trail, and then surround yourself with nature on Red Canyon Trail Rides.

Plan my trip to Escalante with suggested itineraries provided by Inspirock.

San Jose to Escalante is an approximately 8.5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus, shuttle, and car. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from San Jose to Escalante due to the time zone difference. When traveling from San Jose in October, plan for slightly colder days and much colder nights in Escalante: temperatures range from 61°F by day to 29°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Mon) to allow time to travel to Escalante.
