In a sense, Porto Seguro is where Brazil as a country began, marking the spot where Portuguese explorers first arrived in the 16th century.
Visit Rio da Barra Beach and Parracho Beach for some beach relaxation. Get some historical perspective at Igreja de Sao Joao Batista and Quadrado. Go for a jaunt from Porto Seguro to Santo Andre to see Santo Andre Beach about 1h 15 min away. The adventure continues: explore the galleries of Espaco Coral Vivo Mucuge, look for gifts at Terima Kasih, appreciate the extensive heritage of Pintor Pires, and go for a walk through Sitio Arqueologico das Ruinas da Igreja do Outeiro Da Gloria.
