The cultural, economic, and political center of the country, Vienna has developed from its early Celtic and Roman roots into a medieval and Baroque city, with an old town that was designated a World Heritage Site in 2001.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Schönbrunn Zoo as well as Alpine Joe - Mountain Hiking Guide. Museum-lovers will get to explore Belvedere Palace and Albertina. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Vienna Naschmarkt and Xocolat. Venture out of the city with trips to Melk Abbey (in Melk), Wachau Valley (in Joching) and Wehrkirche St. Michael (in Weissenkirchen). Next up on the itinerary: see the interesting displays at The Hofburg, appreciate the extensive heritage of Schonbrunner Gardens, identify plant and animal life at Naturpark Mannersdof-Wuste, and don't miss a visit to St. Stephen's Cathedral.

For reviews, more things to do, other places to visit, and other tourist information, refer to the Vienna trip itinerary website.
