You can drive from Mesa Verde National Park to Durango in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and bus; or do a combination of taxi and shuttle. In July in Durango, expect temperatures between 86°F during the day and 54°F at night. On the 20th (Sat), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
