Durness
Durness is a village and civil parish in the north-west Highlands of Scotland. Balnakeil Craft Village and Mudness Ceramics will appeal to museum buffs. You'll get in some beach time at Sandwood Bay Beach and Sango Bay. Venture out of the city with trips to Kinlochbervie (Polin Beach & Oldshoremore Beach). There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Durness Beach, view the masterpieces at Lotte Glob, and stroll through Balnakeil Beach.

On the 22nd (Mon), take in the exciting artwork at RhueArt, then get a taste of the local shopping with An Talla Solais, then step into the grandiose world of Ardvreck Castle, and finally stroll through Achmelvich Beach. Keep things going the next day: tour the pleasant surroundings at Lael Forest Walks, identify plant and animal life at Knockan Crag National Nature Reserve, and then take in the dramatic scenery at Corrieshalloch Gorge.
