Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Popular historic sites such as Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple and Zojo-ji Temple are in your itinerary. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Minato Mirai 21 and Nezu Shrine. Venture out of the city with trips to Naritasan Omote Sando (in Narita), Samukawa Shrine (in Samukawa-machi) and Kamakura (Hase-dera Temple Kannondo, Hase-dera Temple, & more). And it doesn't end there: take a stroll through Ueno, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine, see the interesting displays at Samurai Museum, and contemplate the long history of Hie Jinjya.
