Located on the largest island in the Baltic Sea, the historical port town of Visby features one of the best-preserved medieval city walls in northern Europe.
Start off your visit on the 21st (Tue): see the interesting displays at Gotlands Museum, then contemplate the long history of Visby City Wall, and then take in nature's colorful creations at Botaniska Tradgarden. On your second day here, identify plant and animal life at Hogklint Naturreservat, then make a trip to S:t Hans och S:t Pers ruiner, then steep yourself in history at St. Nicolai Ruin, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Mary's Cathedral.
