Naples is the capital of the Italian region Campania and the third-largest municipality in Italy after Rome and Milan. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Posillipo and Parco Sommerso di Gaiola - Area Marina Protetta. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Spiaggia di Serapo and Spiaggia dei Sassolini.
