One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Gyeongbokgung Palace and Gwanghwamun Gate will appeal to history buffs. Myeongdong Shopping Street and Changdeokgung Palace are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Take a break from Seoul with a short trip to Nami Island in Chuncheon, about 1h 40 min away. There's much more to do: make a trip to Insadong, shop like a local with Namdaemun Market, brush up on your military savvy at The War Memorial of Korea, and enjoy breathtaking views from N Seoul Tower.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Seoul is an approximately 11-hour flight. You can also drive. Traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Seoul, you'll lose 1 hour due to the time zone difference. When traveling from Kuala Lumpur in October, plan for cooler days and little chillier nights in Seoul: temperatures range from 22°C by day to 21°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 27th (Sun) early enough to travel to Jeonju.
