Sitting along either side of the Nakdong River, Andong maintains an unrivalled reputation as a center for Korean folk and cultural heritage.

Traveling by car from Sokcho to Andong takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of bus and train. In May, daily temperatures in Andong can reach 18°C, while at night they dip to 18°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 29th (Fri) early enough to drive to Gyeongju.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
On the 31st (Sun), explore the world behind art at Busan Museum of Art, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Haedong Yonggung Temple, then head outdoors with Haeundae Beach, and finally head outdoors with Gwangalli Beach. On the next day, stroll around Yongdusan Park, then shop like a local with Busan Gamcheon Culture Village, and then head outdoors with Songjeong Beach.
