The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Visiting Seongsan Ilchulbong and Gwaneumsa Temple will get you outdoors. We've included these beaches for you: Hamdeok Beach and Sanho Beach. Step out of Jeju with an excursion to Gwangchigi Beach in Seogwipo--about 1h 15 min away. There's much more to do: Head underground at Manjanggul Cave, view the masterpieces at The Islander, learn more about the world around you at Jeju World Natural Heritage Center, and examine the collection at Jeju National Museum.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
On the 13th (Wed), get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at SEA LIFE Busan Aquarium, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Haedong Yonggung Temple, then head outdoors with Haeundae Beach, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Gwangalli Beach. On the next day, take in the exciting artwork at Shinsegae Gallery, hunt for treasures at Busan Gamcheon Culture Village, then browse the eclectic array of goods at Jagalchi Market, and finally examine the collection at Busan Museum.

Fly from Jeju to Busan in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry, taxi, and train. In April in Busan, expect temperatures between 22°C during the day and 10°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Fri): identify plant and animal life at Gyeongju Bird Park, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Bulguksa Temple, and then appreciate the history behind Seokguram.

You can drive from Busan to Gyeongju in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. Expect slightly colder weather when traveling from Busan in April: highs in Gyeongju hover around 14°C, while lows dip to 14°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 15th (Fri) so you can go by car to Sokcho.

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Myeongdong Shopping Street and Namdaemun Market. Get a sense of the local culture at Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village. There's much more to do: admire the landmark architecture of Changdeokgung Palace, take in nature's colorful creations at Namsan Park, get great views at N Seoul Tower, and wander the streets of Insadong.
