One of Europe's most culturally diverse cities, Stockholm extends over 14 islands, united by a series of tunnels and bridges.
For shopping fun, head to Ostermalm Saluhall or The English Bookshop. Visit Royal Palace and Gamla Uppsala for their historical value. When in Stockholm, make a side trip to see Uppsala Domkyrka in Uppsala, approximately Uppsala away. There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Skansen, get to know the fascinating history of Monteliusvagen, step off the mainland to explore Sodermalm, and take an in-depth tour of The Swedish History Museum.

On the 13th (Sun), take in the awesome beauty at Mount Floyen and the Funicular, steep yourself in history at Troldhaugen Edvard Grieg Museum, and then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Ulriken. Head to Torvehallerne and National Gallery of Denmarkfor some retail therapy. Popular historic sites such as Nyhavn and Our Saviour's Church are in your itinerary. When in Copenhagen, make a side trip to see Frederiksborg Castle in Hillerod, approximately Hillerod away.
