Rome

— 14 nights

Eternal City

Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
You'll get in some beach time at Le Palme and Calypso Beach Village. Get out of town with these interesting Rome side-trips: Terracina (Foro Emiliano, Cattedrale di Terracina, &more), Chiesa Dell'immacolata (in Latina) and Bau Beach (in Maccarese). There's still lots to do: take a stroll through Trastevere, kick back and relax at V Lounge Beach Club, stroll through Lido La Playa, and steep yourself in history at Palatine Hill.

To see maps, more things to do, where to stay, and more tourist information, you can read our Rome trip planning tool.

If you are flying in from Argentina, the closest major aiports are Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport, Ciampino–G. B. Pastine International Airport and Perugia San Francesco d'Assisi – Umbria International Airport. In July in Rome, expect temperatures between 37°C during the day and 24°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 31st (Wed) to allow time to travel back home.
