As the busy capital of São Miguel, Ponta Delgada represents the most visited place on the island. Known for its historical buildings, the city offers 17th- and 18th-century convents and churches, as well as cobbled pedestrian streets and hidden squares.
On the 25th (Mon), take in the natural beauty of Caldeira das Furnas, then explore the striking landscape at Poca Da Dona Beija, then explore the striking landscape at Caldeira das Sete Cidades, and finally take some stellar pictures from Boca do Inferno Viewpoint. On the 26th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: don't miss a visit to Portas da Cidade and then get interesting insight from Tours.

Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.
Head to Museu Calouste Gulbenkian and Rossio Squarefor plenty of shopping. Go for a jaunt from Lisbon to Colares to see Cabo da Roca about 42 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: wander the streets of Belém Tower, shop like a local with Avenida da Liberdade, hunt for treasures at Feira da Ladra, and steep yourself in history at Mosteiro dos Jeronimos.

Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Wed): kick back and relax at Cabanas de Tavira beach, look for gifts at Canastra, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Praia do Barril. On the 4th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: view the masterpieces at Tavira d'Artes, then head off the coast to Tavira Island, and then take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports.

Called "Oporto" by many, the city of Porto along the Duoro River lent the country and Port wine their names. Portugal's second-largest metropolis dates back to the 4th century, representing both a rich cultural past and industrial present through its architecture and style.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Palacio da Bolsa and NorteShopping. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Mercado Bom Sucesso and Walking tours. When in Porto, make a side trip to see Bom Jesus do Monte in Braga, approximately 52 minutes away. The adventure continues: snap pictures at Ponte de Dom Luis I, wander the streets of Rua Santa Catarina, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Capela das Almas, and view the masterpieces at Belomonte 20.
