Though the town of Sagres has roots in the Portuguese Age of Discovery, it is better known by visitors as a peaceful, rugged resort spot with great surfing beaches.
Start off your visit on the 15th (Thu): stroll through Praia da Luz, then steep yourself in history at Fort of Santo Antonio de Belixe, then see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour, and finally enjoy the sea views from Cape Saint Vincent.

Traveling by car from Evora to Sagres takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. While traveling from Evora, expect a bit cooler days and somewhat warmer nights in Sagres, ranging from highs of 34°C to lows of 23°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 15th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Albufeira.
