Called "Oporto" by many, the city of Porto along the Duoro River lent the country and Port wine their names. Portugal's second-largest metropolis dates back to the 4th century, representing both a rich cultural past and industrial present through its architecture and style.
Kick off your visit on the 24th (Sun): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Santuario Nossa Senhora dos Remedios, pause for some photo ops at Arch of the New Gate, then pause for some serene contemplation at Se de Braga, and finally admire the landmark architecture of Paco dos Duques de Braganca. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of Sameiro Sanctuary, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Capela das Almas, then steep yourself in history at Porto Cathedral (Se Catedral), and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of Santa Clara (Igreja de Santa Clara).

Nazaré is a town and a municipality in subregion Oeste and Leiria District, in Portugal.It is one of the most popular seaside resorts in the Silver Coast/Costa de Prata, Portugal. Kick off your visit on the 26th (Tue): step into the grandiose world of Castelo de Pombal. On the 27th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: don't miss a visit to Forte de Sao Miguel, take some stellar pictures from Miradouro do Suberco, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Church of Nossa Senhora da Nazaré, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Praia da Nazare.

Drive from Nazare to Lagos in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of bus and flight. Expect somewhat warmer evenings in Lagos when traveling from Nazare in May, with lows around 18°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 31st (Sun) early enough to drive to Lisbon.
