Madrid, Spain to Porto is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. Traveling from Madrid to Porto, you'll gain 1 hour due to the time zone difference. Prepare for little chillier weather when traveling from Madrid in August: high temperatures in Porto hover around 28°C and lows are around 17°C. You'll have a few hours on the 24th (Sat) to wrap things up before traveling to Aveiro.

Though the town of Sagres has roots in the Portuguese Age of Discovery, it is better known by visitors as a peaceful, rugged resort spot with great surfing beaches.
