One of Poland's oldest cities, Krakow sits at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, its historical town center nestled on the left bank of the Vistula River.
Head to Lagos Gallery and Asortyment Shopfor some retail therapy. Krakow's Rynek Glowny Central Square and Wieliczka Salt Mine will appeal to history buffs. Go for a jaunt from Krakow to Oswiecim to see Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau about 1 hour away. The adventure continues: wander the streets of Stare Miasto, get to know the fascinating history of Kazmierz The Former Jewish District, browse the range of quality goods at Bonarka City Center, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St. Wojciech.

Traveling by train from Warsaw to Krakow takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. July in Krakow sees daily highs of 30°C and lows of 15°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 30th (Sat) early enough to travel to Gdansk.

Although its history goes back a thousand years, Gdansk represents one of Poland's most modern urban centers, its thriving economy boosted by a lively tourism sector.
You'll get in some beach time at Jelitkowo Beach and Sopot Beach. Get a sense of the local culture at Old Town and Okret Muzeum ORP Blyskawica. And it doesn't end there: get outside with Stogi Beach, look for gifts at Alfa Shopping Center, steep yourself in history at Westerplatte, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Archikatedra Oliwska.

Fly from Krakow to Gdansk in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. While traveling from Krakow, expect a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Gdansk, ranging from highs of 25°C to lows of 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Jastrzebia Gora.
