Once an important departure point for immigrants sailing for the New World, Plymouth is now mostly known for being one of the world’s most impressive natural harbors.Shop till you drop at Devon Guild of Craftsmen and House of Marbles. Do some cultural sightseeing at Wildwood Arts Dartmoor and The Barbican. Change things up with these side-trips from Plymouth: Exeter Cathedral (in Exeter), Castle Drogo (in Drewsteignton) and Three Hares Gallery (in Chagford). Gloucester to Plymouth is an approximately 2.5-hour car ride. You can also take a train; or do a combination of train and bus. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Mon) so you can drive to Newquay.

Known as the Surf Capital of the UK, Newquay is a vibrant city with youthful energy.Escape the urban bustle at Fistral Beach Bar and Perranporth Beach.
