A convenient place to stay when exploring the island, the city of Puerto Princesa sits on the coast in the center of the landmass.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Wed): see the vivid underwater world at Tubbataha Reef, then get engrossed in the history at Palawan Heritage Center, and then stop by Baker's Hill.
