Maras is a town in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, 40 kilometers north of Cuzco, in the Cuzco Region of Peru. On the 5th (Wed), take in the dramatic natural features at Salinas de Maras and then delve into the distant past at Moray.

Hugging the western tip of Lake Titicaca, Puno serves as a melting pot of indigenous and imported cultures, and makes a great base for explorations around the region.
On the 11th (Tue), explore the activities along Lake Titicaca, explore the different monuments and memorials at Sillustani, and then pause for some serene contemplation at Iglesia Matriz de Santa Catalina. On the 12th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports, then stroll around Parque Pino, and then step off the mainland to explore Uros Floating Islands.

Traveling by combination of flight and bus from Cusco to Puno takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Cusco in August, things will get little chillier in Puno: highs are around 21°C and lows about -3°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Wed) so you can drive to Arequipa.
