Often called the "End of the World" because of its position on the southernmost tip of South America, the expanding city of Ushuaia serves as both a busy commercial port and attractive tourist hub.
Get in touch with nature at Tierra del Fuego National Park and Isla de Los Pajaros. Step off the beaten path and head to Ushuaia Bay and Helicopter Tours. Go for a jaunt from Ushuaia to Tierra del Fuego National Park to see Lago Roca about 36 minutes away. There's lots more to do: identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas, appreciate the history behind Monumento Antiguos Pobladores de Ushuaia, and step off the mainland to explore Isla Bridges.
