You won't run out of things to do in Marrakech, a city where you can spend days exploring grandiose palaces and mosques, photogenic gardens, sacred tombs, and traditional mansions that evoke a bygone era.
Kick off your visit on the 13th (Fri): examine the collection at Musee Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech, head outdoors with Outdoor Activities, and then take in nature's colorful creations at Cyber Parc Arsat Moulay Abdeslam. Keep things going the next day: relax in sumptuous surroundings at local Arab baths, take in nature's colorful creations at Le Jardin Secret, then stop by The Moroccan Egyptian Corner, and finally examine the collection at Boucharouite Museum.

New York City, USA to Marrakech is an approximately 13-hour combination of bus and flight. You can also fly; or do a combination of flight and train. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time to Western European Time, which is usually a 5 hour difference. Traveling from New York City in March, expect nights in Marrakech to be somewhat warmer, around 49°F, while days are warmer, around 73°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Sat) so you can drive to Essaouira.

Essaouira

The laidback town of Essaouira, known for its forceful trade winds, attracts Moroccan and foreign tourists alike with its sweeping beaches and atmospheric, labyrinthine medina, a World Heritage Site.
On the 15th (Sun), trot along with a tour on horseback, then take in the local highlights with Walking tours, and then stroll the grounds of Mogador Christian Cemetery. On the 16th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in the waterfront at Port de Pêche d'Essaouira, then see the interesting displays at Cooperative feminie TILILA d'huile d'argane, then make a trip to Essaouira Ramparts, and finally glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area.

You can drive from Marrakech to Essaouira in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. When traveling from Marrakech in March, plan for a bit cooler days in Essaouira, with highs around 68°F, while nights are about the same with lows around 52°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 16th (Mon) so you can drive to Agadir.
