Lyon is a historical city with a vibrant cultural scene as the birthplace of cinema, the silk capital of the globe, and the second biggest Renaissance city following Venice.Museum-lovers will get to explore Musee Miniature et Cinema and Musee des Confluences. Visit Basilique Notre Dame de Fourviere and Fourviere Hill for their historical value. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Lyon: Le couvent (in Chazelles-sur-Lavieu), Maison de Lamartine (in Milly-Lamartine) and Musee des traditions bugistes (in Saint-Rambert-en-Bugey).
