Kick off your visit on the 17th (Sun): examine the collection at Nagasaki Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims, get engrossed in the history at Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, then admire the masterpieces at Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum, then steep yourself in history at Glover House and Office, and finally admire the natural beauty at Glover Garden. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: steep yourself in history at Suwa Shrine, take an in-depth tour of 26 Martyrs Museum, walk around Nagasaki Peace Park, pause for some photo ops at Hypocenter of Atomic Bombing, then enjoy breathtaking views from Inasayama Observation Deck, and finally get engrossed in the history at Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Nagasaki is an approximately 12.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Nagasaki. In November, Nagasaki is much colder than Kuala Lumpur - with highs of 20°C and lows of 13°C. The mountain town of Takachiho-cho remains a place of great importance to Japan's spiritual and natural heritage, and the point where these two things intersect.
Get a sense of the local culture at Oka Castle Ruins and Takachiho Shrine. Visit Amano Iwato Shrine and Takachiho Shrine for their historical value. Get out of town with these interesting Takachiho-cho side-trips: Onsen Resorts (in Minamioguni-machi) and Daikanbo (in Aso). There's still lots to do: admire the sheer force of Manai Falls, explore the stunning scenery at Takachiho Gorge, get impressive views of Mt. Aso, and take in the pleasant sights at Amano Yasugawara.

Drive from Nagasaki to Takachiho-cho in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. Traveling from Nagasaki in November, Takachiho-cho is a bit cooler at night with lows of 10°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Thu) to allow time to drive to Fukuoka.

Getting from Takachiho-cho to Fukuoka by car takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: take a bus. November in Fukuoka sees daily highs of 20°C and lows of 11°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Sat) so you can go by car to Kitakyushu.

An important gateway for trade and travel between Honshu and Kyushu, the city of Kitakyushu has an old industrial waterfront and provides access to a number of natural sites across the wider region.
Kick off your visit on the 24th (Sun): learn more about the world around you at Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History & Human History, then see the interesting displays at Kyushu Railway History Museum, and then take a memorable drive along Kanmon Kaikyo. On your second day here, get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Kaikyokan, then take in the views from Kanmon Bridge, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Akama Shrine, and finally steep yourself in history at Nakayama Shrine.

You can drive from Fukuoka to Kitakyushu in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. In November, daily temperatures in Kitakyushu can reach 19°C, while at night they dip to 13°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 25th (Mon) so you can travel to Yakushima-cho.
