Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Asakusa Shrine, Tokyo Skytree and Asakusa. Do some cultural sightseeing at Senso-ji Temple and Tokyo National Museum. Appreciate the collections at The National Art Center, Tokyo and Samurai Museum. There's still lots to do: visit Odaiba District and get engrossed in the history at Edo-Tokyo Museum.

Start off your visit on the 12th (Fri): take in the spiritual surroundings of Zuiganji, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Entsu-in Temple, and then get outside with Tsukihama Beach. Your day by day itinerary now includes Lake Towada as well as Sukayu Onsen. Kick off your visit on the 14th (Sun): explore the activities along Lake Towada and then soak in some Japanese tradition at Sukayu Onsen. A gateway to the island, Hakodate has gained a reputation for its waterfront attractions, its proximity to some of the island's most popular natural sites, and its seafood.
Start off your visit on the 16th (Tue): tour the pleasant surroundings at Goryokaku Park, take an in-depth tour of Hakodate City Northern Pacific Fishery's Document Museum, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Trappist Monasteries, then pause for some serene contemplation at St. Maria Church Hakodate, and finally take a stroll through Motomachi. On the next day, boost your wellbeing at a local thermal spa, catch the contagious excitement of Hakodate Horse Racetrack, and then admire the striking features of Kyu Soma-tei.

You can take a train from Aomori to Hakodate in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can ride a ferry. In April, daytime highs in Hakodate are 13°C, while nighttime lows are 5°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 18th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel to Sapporo.

A modern, bustling city known for its beer brewery, Sapporo attracts millions of visitors with its Snow Festival, during which elaborate ice and snow sculptures are exhibited all over town.
Otaru-shi General Museum and Sapporo Beer Museum will appeal to museum buffs. Do some cultural sightseeing at The Hokkaido University Museum and Sapporo Clock Tower. Change things up with a short trip to Earth Dream Kakuyama Farm in Ebetsu (about 30 minutes away). Next up on the itinerary: make a trip to Former Hokkaido Government Office Building, boost your wellbeing at a local thermal spa, and examine the collection at Miyabe Kingo Memorial Building.

Fly from Hakodate to Sapporo in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train. Traveling from Hakodate in April, expect nights in Sapporo to be about the same, around 7°C, while days are a bit cooler, around 9°C. On the 21st (Sun), you're off to home.
