Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Head to Ginza and Asakusafor some retail therapy. Do some cultural sightseeing at Senso-ji Temple and Akihabara. Get out of town with these interesting Tokyo side-trips: Kōtoku-in (in Kamakura), Toi Beach (in Izu) and Moroiso Shores (in Miura). There's much more to do: take a stroll through Odaiba, gear up at Kimono Me, make a trip to Meiji Jingu Shrine, and kick back and relax at Odaiba Kaihin Koen (Odaiba Seaside Park).

Cincinnati, USA to Tokyo is an approximately 18- hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus, taxi, and flight; or do a combination of bus and flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 14 hours traveling from Cincinnati to Tokyo. Traveling from Cincinnati in September, Tokyo is a bit warmer at night with lows of 24°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 3rd (Sat) to allow time to drive to Yamanashi.

Start off your visit on the 4th (Sun): identify plant and animal life at Yamanashi City Peach Fields, let the kids burn off some steam at Yamanashi Fuehukigawa Fruit Park, indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Erin-ji Temple, then don't miss a visit to Budonooka Wine Strage, and finally learn about winemaking at Budo no Oka. On the 5th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: admire the sheer force of Ichinokama Falls, take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Kentoku, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Daitakesannaga Shrine, and finally admire the verdant scenery at Nishizawa Valley.

You can drive from Tokyo to Yamanashi in 2 hours. Traveling from Tokyo in October, you will find days in Yamanashi are little chillier (19°C), and nights are about the same (17°C). Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel to Hiroshima.

You can take a train from Hiroshima to Osaka in 2 hours. Other options are to drive; or do a combination of train and flight. In October, daily temperatures in Osaka can reach 26°C, while at night they dip to 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Sat) to allow time to travel back home.
