Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Get some cultural insight at Odaiba District and Ghibli Museum Mitaka. Do your shopping at Ginza and Takeshita Street. Step out of Tokyo to go to Miura and see Moroiso Shores, which is approximately 1h 35 min away. There's lots more to do: examine the collection at Edo-Tokyo Museum, explore the world behind art at Tokyo National Museum, don't miss a visit to Meiji Jingu Shrine, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Senso-ji Temple.

Innsbruck, Austria to Tokyo is an approximately 17-hour combination of train and flight. You can also fly. The time zone difference when traveling from Innsbruck to Tokyo is 8 hours. In July, Tokyo is somewhat warmer than Innsbruck - with highs of 36°C and lows of 27°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Fri) so you can take a train to Numazu.

Numazu tourism focuses primarily on what lies just outside of the town, with the urban area providing a base for wider regional, natural explorations.
Visit Otago Beach and Ita Beach for some beach relaxation. Step out of the city life by going to Mount Fuji and Toi Beach. When in Numazu, make a side trip to see The Hakone Open-Air Museum in Hakone-machi, approximately Hakone-machi away. The adventure continues: contemplate the waterfront views at Susono Fishing Park.

Getting from Tokyo to Numazu by train takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: drive. Traveling from Tokyo in July, you will find days in Numazu are a bit cooler (32°C), and nights are about the same (28°C). Finish up your sightseeing early on the 15th (Mon) so you can catch the train to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Gion. Head to Dotombori District and Maiko Antiques Kyotofor plenty of shopping. Next up on the itinerary: contemplate the long history of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, get engrossed in the history at Kyoto Museum of Crafts and Design, browse the eclectic array of goods at Nishiki Market Shopping District, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Sanjusangendo Temple.

You can take a train from Numazu to Kyoto in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or fly. Traveling from Numazu in July, you will find days in Kyoto are a bit warmer (37°C), and nights are about the same (28°C). Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Thu) to allow enough time to take a train to Hiroshima.

Miyajima and Itsukushima Shrine will appeal to history buffs. Get a sense of the local culture at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and Atomic Bomb Dome. Venture out of the city with trips to Kashima Kaisuiyokujo (in Matsuyama) and Hatsukaichi (Mikasahama Beach & Itsukushima Shrine Torii). There's much more to do: contemplate the long history of Peace Memorial Park - Hiroshima, explore the historical opulence of Hiroshima Castle, and take an in-depth tour of Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims.
