Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 31st (Tue): indulge in Japan's hot spring tradition at some of the top local onsens, examine the collection at Beppu City Traditional Bamboo Crafts Center, take in the waterfront at Beppu International Tourism Port, appreciate the views at Yufugawa Valley, then contemplate the waterfront views at Shidakako Lake, and finally trek along Mt. Tsurumi.

Narita to Beppu is an approximately 4-hour combination of train and flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or drive. Plan for a bit warmer nights when traveling from Narita in March since evenings lows in Beppu dip to 7°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 31st (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Kunisaki.
