Tokyo is known for historic sites, shopping, parks, museums, and nightlife. Valletta, Malta to Tokyo is an approximately 18-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. The time zone difference when traveling from Valletta to Tokyo is 8 hours. In March, Tokyo is little chillier than Valletta - with highs of 17°C and lows of 7°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 16th (Mon) to allow time to travel to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Change things up with a short trip to Universal Studios Japan in Osaka (about 1h 15 min away). There's lots more to do: steep yourself in history at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, examine the collection at Kyoto Museum of Traditional Crafts Fureaikan, don't miss a visit to Heian Shrine, and step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle.

Getting from Tokyo to Kyoto by train takes about 3 hours. Other options: fly; or drive. In March, daily temperatures in Kyoto can reach 16°C, while at night they dip to 5°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Thu) to allow time to take a train to Hiroshima.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Sun): see the interesting displays at Busan Museum, browse the eclectic array of goods at Jagalchi Market, then walk around Yongdusan Park, then get great views at Taejongdae, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Beomeosa Temple. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: don't miss a visit to Gwangandaegyo Bridge, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Haedong Yonggung Temple, then stroll through Haeundae Beach, and finally kick back and relax at Gwangalli Beach.

You can do a combination of train and flight from Hiroshima to Busan in 4 hours. Other options are to do a combination of train and ferry; or do a combination of car and ferry. In March in Busan, expect temperatures between 16°C during the day and 3°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Mon) so you can travel to Seoul.
