Founded in 1951, the small desert town of Mitspe Ramon overlooks the Ramon Crater, a massive 40 km (24 mi) long dip in the Negev desert, created by erosion and notable for its interesting rock formations.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Tue): don't miss a visit to Ben Gurion Tomb, then explore the ancient world of Nabatean Avdat Acropolis, and then explore the striking landscape at Ramon Crater.

On the sunny Mediterranean central coast of Israel, Herzliya charms its visitors with upscale beachfront restaurants, rolling cerulean coastline, and trendy shops.
On the 8th (Sun), take in the waterfront at Tayelet, browse the eclectic array of goods at Jaffa Flea Market, then wander the streets of Jaffa Old City, and finally look for gifts at Agas and Tamar. Getting from Eilat to Herzliya by combination of flight and bus takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of bus and train. While traveling from Eilat, expect slightly colder days and about the same nights in Herzliya, ranging from highs of 81°F to lows of 69°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
