Deepen your sense of the past at sights like St. Gabriel's Church and International Center Mary of Nazareth. Step off the beaten path and head to Church of Mount of Beatitudes and Capharnaum the Town of Jesus. Change things up with these side-trips from Haifa: Citadel of Acre (in Acre), Mount of Beatitudes (in Capernaum) and Sea of Galilee (in Tiberias). Getting from Haifa to Jerusalem by bus takes about 2 hours. Other options: take a train. In August, plan for daily highs up to 38°C, and evening lows to 28°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Thu) so you can drive to Ein Gedi.

At the northern extreme of the Red Sea sits Eilat, a resort town popular with domestic and international tourists.
Visit Nabatean Avdat Acropolis and Botanical Garden Of Eilat for their historical value. Step off the beaten path and head to Migdalor Beach and Mosh Beach. Go for a jaunt from Eilat to Mitspe Ramon to see Canyoning & Rappelling Tours about 2 hours away. Traveling by bus from Ein Gedi to Eilat takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and flight. Traveling from Ein Gedi in August, expect Eilat to be a bit warmer, temps between 47°C and 33°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Wed) so you can travel back home.
