Called the "White City" thanks to the color of its World Heritage-listed architectural landmarks, Tel Aviv serves as Israel's modern and cosmopolitan second city.
Shop till you drop at Carmel Market (Shuk Ha'Carmel) and Adina Plastelina. Do some cultural sightseeing at Palmach Museum and Ayalon Institute Museum. Go for a jaunt from Tel Aviv to Rishon Lezion to see Hof Palmahim National Park about 32 minutes away. There's much more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Jerusalem Beach, take an in-depth tour of Independence Hall Museum in the Shalom Mayer Tower, take a stroll through Jaffa Old City, and examine the collection at Israeli Children's Museum.
