Dordrecht, colloquially Dordt, historically in English named Dort, is a city and municipality in the western Netherlands, located in the province of South Holland. Kick off your visit on the 12th (Mon): find something for the whole family at Efteling. On your second day here, get engrossed in the history at World Heritage Kinderdijk, then hike along Park Merwestein, and then look for all kinds of wild species at Regte Heide & Riels Laag.

Vlissingen is a municipality and a city in the southwestern Netherlands on the former island of Walcheren. Get a sense of the local culture at Boulevard van Vlissingen and Zuidhavenpoort Zierikzee. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Bunkerverhalen Dishoek November '44 and Lighthouse Westkapelle (high). Change things up with these side-trips from Vlissingen: Strand Rockanje (in Rockanje), Bizarium (in Sluis) and Strand Domburg (in Domburg).
