A modern, bustling city known for its beer brewery, Sapporo attracts millions of visitors with its Snow Festival, during which elaborate ice and snow sculptures are exhibited all over town.
Go for a jaunt from Sapporo to Otaru to see Otaru Canal about 46 minutes away. There's much more to do: stroll around Odori Park, get engrossed in the history at Historical Village of Hokkaido (Kaitaku-no Mura), get great views at Mt. Moiwa, and enjoy the scholastic atmosphere at Hokkaido University Sapporo Campus.

Singapore, Singapore to Sapporo is an approximately 11-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of flight and train. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Singapore to Sapporo due to the time zone difference. Traveling by combination of flight and shuttle from Sapporo to Hakodate takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. Traveling from Sapporo in November, you will find days in Hakodate are somewhat warmer (10°C), and nights are about the same (2°C). Wrap up your sightseeing on the 25th (Mon) to allow time to take a train to Noboribetsu.
