Start off your visit on the 17th (Fri): don't miss a visit to Asahikawa Station, browse the different shops at AEON MALL Asahikawa Ekimae, take in nature's colorful creations at Asahiyama Miura Garden, then get to know the resident critters at Asahiyama Zoo, then experience rural life at Ueno Farm, and finally find something for the whole family at Asahikawa Ramen Village. Here are some ideas for day two: walk around Hokuseino-oka Observatory Park, cruise along Patchwork no Michi, then cruise along Ken & Mary Tree, then take in nature's colorful creations at Zerubunoka Atomunooka, and finally stop by Seven Stars Tree.

Honolulu, USA to Asahikawa is an approximately 12.5-hour combination of flight and train. You can also fly; or do a combination of flight and train. The time zone difference moving from Hawaii Standard Time (HST) to Japan Standard Time (JST) is 19 hours. In July, Asahikawa is little chillier than Honolulu - with highs of 72°F and lows of 70°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Sat) so you can drive to Nakafurano-cho.

Tourism in Shari-cho, a small town situated on Hokkaido's eastern tip, flourishes mainly because of its immediate proximity to the Shiretoko World Heritage Site.
Kick off your visit on the 20th (Mon): don't miss a visit to Oshinkosin Observation Deck, admire the sheer force of Kamuiwakka Hot Waterfall, contemplate the waterfront views at Shiretoko Goko Lake, then surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, then take in the dramatic natural features at Godzilla Rock, and finally cruise along Road to Heaven. Keep things going the next day: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mt. Io, cruise along Shiretoko Pass, then look for all kinds of wild species at Shiretoko Peninsula, then head outdoors with Shiretoko Beach, and finally admire the sheer force of Oshin Koshin Falls.

You can drive from Nakafurano-cho to Shari-cho in 5.5 hours. When traveling from Nakafurano-cho in July, plan for slightly colder days in Shari-cho, with highs around 71°F, while nights are about the same with lows around 62°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 21st (Tue) so you can travel to Noboribetsu.
