Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Eiffel Tower and Basilique du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre. Kick off your visit on the 19th (Wed): admire the natural beauty at Fondation Claude Monet, then steep yourself in history at Chateau Gaillard, and then step off the mainland to explore Les Andelys. On your second day here, admire the landmark architecture of Abbey of Bec-Hellouin, explore the historical opulence of Chateau Guillaume-le-Conquerant, then contemplate the long history of Satie House and Museum (Maisons Satie), and finally steep yourself in history at Abbaye de Saint-Wandrille.

Strasbourg is famous for its beautiful historical center, the Grande Île, which was the first city center classified entirely as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg and Cathedrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get some historical perspective at Eglise des Dominicains Strasbourg and Catholic Church Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune. And it doesn't end there: visit La Petite France, admire the striking features of Eglise du Temple-Neuf, take in the spiritual surroundings of Eglise Saint-Etienne, and stroll around Parc du Chateau de Pourtales.

You can take a train from Rouen to Strasbourg in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or fly. Well-known for the beautiful views of its famous Promenade des Anglais waterfront, Nice is an ethnically-diverse coastal port city on the French Riviera and the fifth most populated city in France.
Get outdoors at Castel Plage and Paloma Beach. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Cathedrale Saint-Nicolas a Nice and Chapelle du Rosaire. Step out of Nice with an excursion to Palmes Beach in Menton--about 32 minutes away. There's still lots to do: explore the galleries of Palais Lascaris, don't miss a visit to Fort du Mont Alban, steep yourself in history at Monastère de Cimiez, and admire the natural beauty at Le Jardin Exotique d'Eze.

The 2013 European "Capital of Culture," Marseille is the largest port city on the breezy Mediterranean coast and the second largest city in France.
Bring the kids along to Palais des Papes and Musee du Petit Palais. Pont d'Avignon and Paul Cezanne’s Studio will appeal to history buffs. Step out of Marseille with an excursion to Paroisse Cathédrale Saint Sauveur Aix-en-Provence in Aix-en-Provence--about 38 minutes away. There's much more to do: don't miss a visit to Basilique du Sacre-Ceour, see the interesting displays at Chateau Borely Marseille, and walk around Parc Balneaire du Prado.
