Saint-Tropez is a town, 100km west of Nice, in the Var department of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of southeastern France. Escape the urban bustle at Plage de Gigaro and Plage de l'Anglade. You'll get in some beach time at Plage de Cavaliere and Plage de l'Escalet. Get out of town with these interesting Saint-Tropez side-trips: Le Lavandou (Plage de Jean Blanc, Plage d'Aiguebelle, &more). Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and Florence Academy of Fine Arts are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Attractions like Gallerie Degli Uffizi and Pitti Palace make great kid-friendly stops. Go for a jaunt from Florence to Santa Brigida to see Castello del Trebbio about 36 minutes away.
