Arlon, Belgium

Arlon is a Walloon municipality of Belgium located in and capital of the province of Luxembourg. Step off the beaten path and head to Le Chateau de Lavaux Sainte-Anne and Parc de Furfooz. Appreciate the collections at December 44 Historical Museum and Maison Adolphe Sax. Venture out of the city with trips to Bastogne (Reg Jans Battlefield Experience - Day Tours & Bois de la Paix), The Giant's Tomb (Tombeau du Geant) (in Botassart) and Point de vue sur Frahan (in Rochehaut). While Luxembourg City boasts the shiny headquarters of several European institutions and EU offices, it is also home to a beautiful old town that's designated as a World Heritage Site.

Oldest City in Germany

Trier may be the oldest city in Germany, founded long before the Roman times.
Visit Mittelalterlicher Marktplatz and Bundesbank-Bunker Cochem for their historical value. Explore hidden gems such as Wild- & Erlebnispark Daun and Wernerkapelle. Traveling by car from Luxembourg City to Trier takes an hour. Alternatively, you can take a shuttle; or take a train. In June, plan for daily highs up to 25°C, and evening lows to 13°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Metz.
