You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Appreciate the collections at Budapest Pinball Museum and Hospital in the Rock. Get some cultural insight at Halaszbastya and Miniversum Budapest. And it doesn't end there: contemplate the long history of Matthias Church, take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika), pause for some photo ops at Statue of St Stephen, and test the waters at a local thermal spa.

The cultural, economic, and political center of the country, Vienna has developed from its early Celtic and Roman roots into a medieval and Baroque city, with an old town that was designated a World Heritage Site in 2001.
Explore hidden gems such as Kaiserliche Schatzkammer Wien and Ringstrasse. You'll explore and learn at Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien and Belvedere Palace. There's still lots to do: explore the historical opulence of Schonbrunn Palace, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kirche am Steinhof, make a trip to St. Stephen's Cathedral, and examine the collection at Imperial Palace (Hofburg).
