Start off your visit on the 2nd (Wed): explore the world behind art at Van Gogh Museum, admire the masterpieces at Rijksmuseum, and then contemplate the long history of Museum Het Rembrandthuis (Rembrandt House). Here are some ideas for day two: get to know the fascinating history of Begijnhof, sample the tasty concoctions at Heineken Experience, then get engrossed in the history at Anne Frank House, and finally wander the streets of The Jordaan.
