A busy, cosmopolitan city, Oxford is perhaps best known for its ancient university.
Start off your visit on the 8th (Sat): see the interesting displays at Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology, see the interesting displays at Pitt Rivers Museum, then get a new perspective on nature at University Museum of Natural History, then contemplate the long history of Oxford Castle Unlocked, and finally step into the grandiose world of Christ Church. Here are some ideas for day two: meet the residents at Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens and then steep yourself in history at Blenheim Palace.

Lanhydrock House and Garden and St. Mawgan Church are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Take a break from the city and head to Crantock Beach and Perranporth Beach.
