The fourth-largest city in South Korea, Daegu sprawls out across a wide, flat valley overlooked by a sacred Buddhist mountain.
Shop till you drop at Seomun Market and Hyundai Department Store Daegu. Bulguksa Temple and Donghwasa will appeal to history buffs. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Daegu: Gyeongju (Gyeongju California Beach Water Park, Geumgwanchong Tomb, &more), Haeinsa (in Hapcheon-Gun) and Goryeong Daegaya Historic Site (in Goryeong-gun).
